Book Review #2 Dork Diaries:Tales from a Not-So-Glam TV Star #7

Hi bookaholics, this is my second review on this blog :) Thank you to my first three followers for following me! The review is going to be on a book that I finished a few days ago which is the 'Dork Diaries:Tales from a Not-So-Glam TV Star # 7' by Rachel Renee Russell.
Author: Rachel Renee Russell
Pages: 336
Genre: Tween Fiction
Summary :Nikki’s juggling a lot this month. A reality TV crew is following Nikki and her friends as they record their hit song together, plus there are voice lessons, dance practice, and little sister Brianna’s latest wacky hijinks. Nikki’s sure she can handle everything, but will all the excitement cause new problems for Nikki and Brandon, now that cameras are everywhere Nikki goes?
This book is the seventh installment in the 'Dork Diaries Series', I have been an avid reader of this series from when I was in 4th or 3rd grade, they are written in the diary-form which draws me more towards the books. The story focuses on Nikki having a reality show of her own! The book starts with Nikki getting a call from a reality tv manager who asks Nikki and her band to schedule a meeting to talk about getting a gig at his show after listening to them on stage in the previous book. Nikki accepts the proposal, she,Zoey and Chloe are super excited. All cannot go well as there is Mackenzie the meanest girl ever is still upto her old tricks of stealing everything from Nikki ;) to ruin their plans.....she  and entry passes for entering the backstage and while Nikki,Zoey and Chloe trying to hide from the security people they stumble upon Blaine who thinks they are the boring and unstylish Dance Divas and gives them  awesome makovers  -
Sneak peak of the book
How Nikki,Zoey,Chloe finally meet the reality tv manager is a thing you need to read the book for! Mackenzie and her three friends dress up as Nikki,Chloe and Zoey...to put the three girls in more trouble.
Now Nikki is signed by the manager to have a reality show of her...she is hesitant at first but then she decides to do it! At first it all seems awesome but as time goes it becomes too much for Nikki to hand, voice lessons, homework, karate classes with a really weird teacher who has an unlimited supply of ________ (Keep guessing or read the book ;) nobody knows from where :p....he is a really funny character.  The icing on the cake for Nikki is dance classes with ................... Mackenzie <3 The camera follows Nikki at all times,Brandon (her crush) wants Nikki to help her with a project but she fails to do overloaded with over work. I love the episode when Nikki tricks her little sis Brianna to dress as a chicken pox patient and scare away the TV show crew is just hilarous...sorry for this spoiler but I couldn't help mentioning this. This is a fun and light read always the book to reach out for when you have had enough of the usual dystopian and darker books. It also potrays the 'love you to death' friendship between NZC :) Brandon and Nikki finally have their kiss or not? I would  recommend that you should read the series from the beginning. The book will make you laugh a lot...
I would rate it 4 stars.

Book Review # 1:The Fault In Our Stars

Hi bookaholics, this is Asmita here. This is my first review on this blog! So I wanted it to be about a book which is close to my heart, certainly that happens to be none other than "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green.

Author: John Green
Pages:313
Genre: Young Adult,Drama

Summary: Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten. (From Goodreads)

My thoughts on the book: Fault In Our Stars is a book that will make you laugh and cry at the same time. You will be forced to think about some  important and serious things like death,cancer... Each character is well written, you can relate to them in one way or other. Hazel, the protagonist is just like any other girl at her age but being diagnosed with cancer changes her life quite a lot. Hazel's mom who is just really worried about her daughter, decides to send her to a cancer kid support group. At first Hazel does not like the idea at all but eventually when Augustus Waters or Gus crosses her path everything seems so magical. Gus is a real charmer and has a great sense of humor ...does not only charm Hazel but the you too.  FTIOS is quite centered around Imperial Affection, the book which  Hazel just can't stop raving about  because she relates to the story a lot. The author Peter Van Houten had left the Imperial Affection incomplete and Hazel desperately wants to seek the answers about the ending, so she and Gus embark on a journey to Amsterdam to meet the author. Peter Van Houten is a character whom all the tfios readers will will hate. The story in Amsterdam can be described as a  dark cloud with silver lining.

The ending is quite  heart-breaking......... I totally reccommend it  to anyone who would like a book filled with drama, love, humor and tragedy.
The plot is well paced and engaging, tfios will have a big lasting impact. I would rate it 4 stars.
