Book Review # 1-The Lying Game by Sara Shepard

Hello,bookaholics! I know I have been away for a long time,sorry to all my followers! I was busy with exams but now they are finally over so I am back to blogging and reading :)
Today,I am going to review-The Lying Game by Sara Shepard

This is the first book in the series by Sara Shepard,I was intrigued into the book...the moment I saw the book cover and read the book blurb while I was at the book shop last month and immediately made up my mind to buy it and that's what I did!  The book starts with an prologue where Sutton realizes that she is dead....as the chapter go we come to know that there is a girl named Emma whose mother,Becky left Emma at a young age. Emma has been staying at foster care for all this while and has been adopted by  several different families. Currently she is living with Clarice,a celebrity-obsessed lady and Clarice's son a boy named Travis who hates Emma and always tries to get her in trouble....one day Travis shows Emma a video of a girl who look exactly like her getting strangled,Emma is shocked. She thinks that the girl must be her long-lost sister tracing back some events to her childhood.

Through a famous social media website,Emma finds Sutton and gets a invite from Sutton to her home. She packs her bags and leaves her foster home only to suddenly find that she has been trapped into something very menacing and not the happy family reunion she imagined of. Emma becomes Sutton.The girl who was all her life stuck with a beaten up blackberry,never had a proper room..bought her clothes from thrift stores suddenly becomes has an iphone,a large room and a closet full of clothes from luxury brands like Gucci and Zara. It all seems magical but it's not that easy when you have to be someone else. Each chapter will have something new in store for the reader who would't be disappointed at all. Madeline and Charlotte are the friends,everybody would wish for ;) Laurel,Sutton's sister is a very well written character. Slowly Emma comes to know about the dangerous Lying Game..and also what type of a girl Sutton was ...(if you know what exactly is the lying game...you should definitely read the book) The interactions between Emma and Ethan,is a  fresh breath of air. I would not spoil more but totally recommend this book to anyone who would love mystery but not a very serious one.

I am totally looking forward to read the next book in the series.

Violence-2.5-3..there is violence in some parts.

Romance- I would give it a 2...

Best for-Ages 13 and up but also depends on your choice of books and maturity.

The character which disappoints me-Garrett,Sutton's boyfriend is just a useless character without any impact...he was just not needed but was there because a book can't be written without a boy-friend character.

I rate this book a 3 out of 5.

 No,I don't think so actually I seldom read in the car.
Q2. Books with or without illustrations?
 Illustrations would be a bonus but it won't really mind me if I read a book without illustrations.
Q3. Bookmark or a random piece of paper?
I  try to have a bookmark but in most times...I somehow misplace them and finally just try to remember the page  number :)
Q4.What is the thinnest book on your shelf?
New York Minute,the book based on the movie starring Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. 

Q5. What is the thickest book on your shelf?
It has to be Divergent by Veronica Roth.

Q6.When did you start getting into reading?
I got bitten my the book bug when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade... my first book of course except the really kiddish  books with mostly illustrations was Malory Towers by Enid Blyton. I remember thaat I didn't get all the books one by one but decided to get the big book having all of them ;P

Q6.What is your favourite classic book?
Q7.My favourite classic book is Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett,I am not an avid classic reader but I enjoyed this book thoroughly.

Q8.In school was your best subject Language Arts/English?
Unfortunately not but it was my second best one and I loved English better than all the science subjects. My best subject was History! And my worst subject was....*drumroll* maths,I am sure a lot of people can relate to this.

Q9. What is your favorite word?
My favorite work is awesome,I just can't stop myself to use it <3
Q10.One book at a time or several?
I like to read one at a time and not jumble up reading 3 or 4...I think concentrating at one book at one time is best!
